Based on a…We were aware of the aging nature of our perimeter drains and concerned about them breaking down. Our house is more than 60 years old but certainly not a tear down and we are keen to stay where we are in the immediate future. Based on a recommendation from our real estate agent we called Chris Gray from Perimeter Drainage. Got a call the next morning from foreman Craig and discussed the potential impacts and options and he warned us right upfront with what the situation might be based on some initial research he had done on our property and what replacement costs might involve.
We decided that a video inspection was in order and he would arrive promptly and would take a look. As he and his assistant were looking at the various drains around the house, he encouraged me to take a look at what was happening and what they found. They relatively quickly concluded that although there were certainly some pinch points and the system is ageing, it didn't necessarily require replacement and a recommended a water jet cleaning out of the whole drainage system, which could be done there and then.
This required several hours and when completed, Craig drew a picture of our drainage system which indicated where the issues were. He concluded that, although full replacement might be desirable at some future point if a major Reno were to be undertaken, immediate replacement wasn't necessary with appropriate annual maintenance.
In dealing with Chris and Craig, they seemed very straightforward, upfront and were very keen to ensure that their company motto "A clean company in a dirty business" was front and centre. It was refreshing that we came away with the knowledge that our ageing drainage system, although not perfect, didn't have to be replaced immediately. Less scrupulous companies might have pulled the wool over our eyes and recommended replacement and we might have been none the wiser. For the amount of time they were at our house, the cost seemed quite reasonable. They also made a recommendation about the drainage in an area of our property which would be considerably more economical than a full scale replacement.
So less than a day and half after initial contact, our system was inspected, cleaned with a report and bill for thousands less dollars than we might have anticipated, although differing circumstances might apply depending on the conditions of the existing drain tiles. However, based on our experience, we would highly recommend.
Craig and the team inspected and enhanced some drainage needs for me. Team was prompt, professional and managed to fit in more work than what was expected. Overall very happy and already scheduling more work in the near future.

Craig and crew came out and scoped, flushed and augured my drains. There was a massive root ball they pulled out and much sediment they flushed out. I can not recommend this company enough. Two years ago our pumps failed and our whole basement flooded; they were recommended to install new pumps and were awesome to deal with during a very stressful situation.

I’ve been using Perimeter for over 8 years, and they have always done an excellent job. For the last two sump pump services though I went with another firm who worked on my neighbour’s property as they were a touch cheaper; that was a huge mistake…I’ve been using Perimeter for over 8 years, and they have always done an excellent job. For the last two sump pump services though I went with another firm who worked on my neighbour’s property as they were a touch cheaper; that was a huge mistake on my part! The other firm actually did a bad job on their first visit (which I didn’t pick up on) and on their second did a terrible job which prompted not to pay them! I had to call in Perimeter to get the proper work completed and they noticed the mistakes the other firm had made, and in the end the firm who did the original work paid Perimeter to correct their errors.
Perimeter clearly explained what was causing my problems and provided accurate estimates each time while doing the work in a timely manner. I highly recommend them as they are experts in their field!

Perimeter was not the first plumbing / drainage contractor I contacted. My home is a two story building constructed in the 1930s. Throughout the years, it underwent numerous modifications, expansions, and upgrades by multiple owners. This likely contributed to the lack of enthusiasm of majority of the contractors I reached out to earlier. However, Craig of Perimeter responded to my request promptly and professionally. He went over my situation with me on the phone and scheduled an appointment with me that afternoon. Due to an emergency call he received, he had to postpone his visit to my place to the next day. Later that day, Chris provided me with an detailed estimate and the amount that would be charged for each work to be conducted. Next morning, Craig arrived right on time in a nice company van with an apprentice by his side. He listened to me described my problem, surveyed my home, asked me key questions - even sharing with me various observations he made - and devised a clear plan of attack. He invited me and my son to join him on the video diagnostic inspection of my sanitary main, and explained everything in great detail. During the exercise, he determined that my plumbing ailment were due to the municipal part of the pipeline clogged by tree roots and other debris and pinpointed their locations. Instead of doing the cleanup work right there and charging me for the service, Craig advised me to give the city a call first (and even attempted to dial in on my behalf) and told me that if the city was unable to send over a crew to address my issue that day and I desired immediately relief, he would circle back later once his job was completed at other locations that day. Two hours later after my call to the city, a city crew arrived and promptly addressed the issue. Guess what? Craig followed up with me at the end of the day on how things went down. The final payment accurately reflected the work that was done.

The owner Chris and his team quickly managed the tear-down and the removal of debris efficiently with a constant exchange of bins necessary for each type of materials and thankfully got the project back on time and on budget.
Chris and his team did a terrific job replacing the almost non existent drainage in our 1947 home. The guys worked so hard, hand digging most of the work and dealing with ginormous rocks in the front yard. It was at least the size of a FIAT 500! Needless to say, it's still in the ground but they worked around it and I am still amazed at that. Equally amazing is how clean they worked and that is something I really value in a contractor. We need to re-landscape but that was in the plans anyway. Now we have a blank slate and everything is so CLEAN!! Did I mention how clean they work? 😉 And, as a side note, the crew were all very personable and even happily collected my wandering dog when she noticed a gate that wasn't closed because they were working in the area and I had mistakenly let the dogs out into the yard. Great team - highly recommend them.
